CRIME LOG: Teen Charged with Criminal Trespass

The following information was supplied by the Concord Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

  • Joshua Israel Abbott, 19, of Concord, was arrested at 4:51 a.m. on Aug. 17, and charged with criminal trespass, unlawful possession of alcohol, and default or breach of bail conditions.
  • Christopher Corliss, of Concord, was arrested on Aug. 17, and charged with trespassing. Officers were called to the area of Perkins Court and Prospect Street for a report of four males looking inside cars. The caller reported that when she went outside, two ran off in the woods while two others remained at the scene. Another officer checked the area around the Yellow Submarine Sub Shop while another had a suspect in custody on North State Street. Later, after talking to the suspects, the officers returned to Perkins Court address that was empty and undergoing renovations. Inside the house, officers smelled alcohol and urine, and there were beer cans strewn all over the floors of the house. Officers allegedly located two men sleeping on the bare floors of one of the rooms, Abbott and Corliss. Both were woken up and led outside. Abbott was allegedly “unsteady on his feet” and was “loud and swearing” while being taken into custody. Abbott, who was out on bail on other charges, had a default charge added.
  • Adrian S. Burrows, 50, received a summons at 12:10 p.m. on Sept. 8, for criminal trespass, consumption of liquor on private property, and unsanitary disposal methods prohibited. An officer was called to the Hess Station on North Main Street for a welfare check on a man near the side of the building with his eyes rolling up to the back of his head and an open container of beer at his feet. When the officer arrived, the man, later identified as Burrows, was allegedly urinating on the back of the building, with his pants around his ankles. Burrows reportedly told the officer he was just having a drink before he walked home. Concord Fire and Rescue teams arrived at the scene and cleared Burrows. The officer spoke to the manager of Hess who requested Burrows be trespassed from the property. Burrows was later charged and allowed to leave. He’s due in court on Oct. 21.
  • Patrick D. Horan, 18, of Worcester, Mass., received a summons at 1:15 a.m. on Sept. 11, for misuse or failure to display plates. An officer observed a vehicle driving south on Fisherville Road near Sylvester Street and as the BMW drove through the intersection with Sewalls Falls Road, it crossed over the white fog line. The car was stopped at Tenney and North State streets. According to dispatch, an officer had previously stopped a vehicle with the same license plate but it was on a Chevrolet pickup truck. Horan reportedly told the officer he had just purchased the BMW in Concord and was on his way home. A friend, he reportedly told the officer, gave him the plate so he could drive back home. Dispatch confirmed that the car was purchased by Horan, after talking to the previous owners. Horan was released with a summons and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
  • Daniel Lewis Prescott, 23, of Concord, was arrested at 9:12 a.m. on Sept. 13, on a violation of protective order; penalty charge. An officer was dispatched to Alice Drive for a protection order violation. A neighbor called on behalf of a woman alleging that he was in her apartment, in violation of an order issued on Sept. 12. The officer knocked on the door “several times” and no one answered. After a few minutes, Prescott allegedly opened the door and came out. The officer informed him that he was in violation of a protective order and he reportedly told the officer that he had no place to go. Prescott was arrested and held without bail. He was arraigned on Sept. 13.
  • Kenneth Gene Blankenship, 31, of Loudon, was arrested at 9:35 a.m. on Sept. 14, on three counts of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer. The charges stem from an alleged incident at Heritage Harley-Davidson on July 27, involving three registration stickers. An officer was sent to the Red Roof Inn on Route 106 to pick up Blankenship who was arrested in the town on a Concord warrant.
  • Justin Thomas Martin, 29, of Pembroke, was arrested at 2:58 p.m. on Sept. 17, and charged with driving after revocation or suspension and suspended registration (operating-misd). While on motorcycle patrol on North Main Street and Loudon Road, an officer observed a Chrysler Town and Country minivan take a sharp left turn onto Loudon Road from the wrong lane in the middle of traffic. The officer attempted to pull the minivan over but the driver reportedly ignored the blue lights and siren. Eventually, the vehicle stopped at the entrance of the Buffalo Wild Wings. After being pulled over, dispatch revealed that Martin had both a suspended license and registration, and he was arrested. He was also issued a summons for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and required position; method of turning at intersections. According to records, Martin was convicted of on a driving charge in Hooksett District Court on June 26. He was later released on $3,000 personal recognizance bail and is due in court on Nov. 4.
  • Cory James Sweat, 26, of Concord, was arrested at 7:51 p.m. on Sept. 18, on a warrant. Officers were called to an apartment on South State Street on a tip that Sweat was living in the building and there were warrants for his arrest. The officers knocked on an apartment door and spoke to a female tenant who pointed to the room that Sweat was in. He was arrested, refused bail, and was transported to prison.
  • Shawn M. Durgin, 26, of Concord, was arrested at 11:53 a.m. on Sept. 19, and charged with simple assault (personal weapons) and criminal mischief (vandalism). Officers were called to a domestic dispute at an apartment on Charles Street. An officer spoke to a woman at the residence who alleged that Durgin had assaulted her and thrown her belongings from a purse all over the apartment floor. Damaged during the incident were a couple of hair clips, according to the report. Durgin later appeared at the apartment and the officer spoke with him about the incident. Durgin alleged that the woman left their apartment at 9 p.m. the night before to drop a friend off at the airport and agreed to return right home but didn’t until 2:30 a.m. The two got into an argument and Durgin allegedly admitted to emptying her purse onto the floor. Durgin alleged that the woman slapped him and he pushed her away but denied assaulting her. The officer spoke to the woman again and she alleged that Durgin hid her car keys and she was worried that she would be late for a job interview. The woman alleged that Durgin grabbed her by the neck and threw her into a dog crate. The officer noted redness on her neck and two horizontal marks that looked as if she was pressed up against a dog crate. When asked if she slapped Durgin, the woman reportedly said, “look at the size of him … I am scared of him.” Durgin was arrested and later, released on $4,000 personal recognizance bail. He is due in court on Oct. 28.
  • Brandon Robert Grant, 24, of Weare, was arrested at 1:51 a.m. on Sept. 21, and charged with two counts of driving while intoxicated as well as single counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated, possession of drugs, and possession of controlled drugs. An officer reportedly eyed a 2013 Ford Focus with New York plates traveling at a high rate of speed near the intersection of South Main and Storrs streets. The officer began to follow the vehicle and clocked it going 40 mph in a 30 zone. The Ford was pulled over just before the entrance to I-93 south. As the officer approached, Grant reportedly was taking his license out of his pocket and had “trouble pulling his license out of the pocket in his wallet” with his fingers and thumb slipping off the license. The officer allegedly could smell alcohol coming from Grant. Grant agreed to a field sobriety test and allegedly used the door to assist himself getting out of the Ford. After the test, Grant allegedly admitted to having three Captain Morgan rum and Cokes but denied feeling buzzed. He was later arrested. Later, after an inventory of the vehicle, marijuana was allegedly found in the center console of the car and a jacket pocket that was left in the car. A pipe was also reportedly found. Grant was released on $4,500 personal recognizance bail and is due in court on Oct. 7.
