ARRESTS: Henniker Couple Charged with Theft at Walmart

The following information was supplied by the Concord Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

  • Tyler A. Gelinas, 25, of Concord, was arrested at 9:52 p.m. on Oct. 11, on a bench warrant. While on bike patrol downtown, officers observed a bike riding north on North Main Street without any lights, near the Eagle Square clock tower. The officers pulled the man over but he denied having an ID. He reportedly said his name was Tyler “Jelinas.” Dispatch reported that there was a warrant for his arrest and he was taken into custody. The warrant was for nonpayment of fine on a driving after renovation or suspension. Later, during processing, the officers located his NH non-driver ID with the proper name. “I believe Gelinas provided a false name to avoid arrest,” the officer noted. He was later released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail and is due in court on Nov. 25. He was also cited for operating without lights.
  • Matthew B. Fagans, 25, of Concord, was arrested at 10:08 a.m. on Oct. 12, on a violation of protective order; penalty charge. An officer took a statement from Fagans’ ex-wife who alleged that her husband, on Oct. 9, allegedly attempted to pick up their children at the Penacook Community Center on Community Drive, violating a protective order. The woman stated that she received a call from the center about the allegation. Fagans, according to the officer’s investigation, was still in place from a Sept. 23, hearing and a new order was issued to Fagans on Oct. 4. The order stated that Fagans was not allowed to have visitation with his children, pending a hearing. The officer went to the community center to speak to staffers there about the visit. Fagans allegedly came into the center and his son ran up to him and hugged him. The staffers asked Fagans to step into an office and he allegedly asked, “I can’t pick up my own son?” Other staffers locked the room where his daughter was being taught, in order to keep him away from another child, according to staffers. An arrest warrant was issued on Oct. 9, and Fagans was arrested on Oct. 12, and held without bail.
  • Agnes Sesay, 32, of Concord, was arrested at 9:09 p.m. on Oct. 13, on two simple assault (personal weapons) charges and a felony criminal threatening (use of a deadly weapon) charge, a knife. Officers and a sergeant were called to an apartment on Old Suncook Road for a report of a man claiming that his wife was trying to stab him. Upon arrival, the reporting officer saw a woman, Sesay, sitting in a chair and a man standing in the living room. The man had “numerous red marks on his body,” including his arm, neck, and bleeding from a chest wound, but he rejected medical attention. The man alleged that the two had been arguing and then Sesay allegedly began “physically attacking him” and later, came after him with a kitchen knife. Sesay, the officer reported, said the husband accused her of cheating on him and she became angry. Later, the husband reportedly told the officer that Sesay “did not know the laws of this country” and he “didn’t want to see Agnes get in trouble.” The officer explained that it was a domestic assault and action would be taken. Sesay was later arrested and released on $7,500 personal recognizance bail. She’s due in court on Nov. 25. After being bailed out, an officer gave Sesay a courtesy ride back home. It was later determined that since there was a young child in the home that needed breast feeding, the husband would leave and allow Sesay to stay in the apartment.
  • Rene R. Chaput, 19, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested at 7:48 p.m. on Oct. 14, and charged with theft and default or breach of bail conditions. An officer was called to Hannaford Supermarket on Fort Eddy Road at around 7 p.m. for a report of a shoplifter in custody. The officer spoke to an employee who alleged that Chaput concealed a bottle of Natrol 5-HTP in his left front pocket, walked past the registers, and didn’t pay for it. Chaput was allegedly approached outside of the store and asked to come back in, and he agreed. According to the employee, Chaput allegedly didn’t have a photo ID and didn’t provide a name to the employee. The officer spoke to Chaput who allegedly said he didn’t know he was stealing and was just curious about how it would make him feel. Chaput was arrested. Since h was out on bail on a willful concealment charge from Epsom on Sept. 26, a breach charge was added. He was held without bail.
  • Jessica J. Lee, 33, of Concord, was arrested at 1:20 a.m. on Oct. 19, and charged with driving while intoxicated and conduct after an accident. While patrolling North Main Street, an officer reportedly heard what sounded like a flat tire driving in the road and later, saw a Ford Explorer driving with pieces dangling from the passenger side. The officer pulled the SUV over near the Cumberland Farms on North Main Street and approached the vehicle. The driver, Lee, the officer alleged, had her registration out but “was wobbling from side to side in her seat.” The officer asked the driver if she had been in an accident and Lee, allegedly slurring her words, said someone hit her vehicle while it was in the Legislative Parking Garage. The officer alleged that she smelled like alcohol and noticed a wristband and two Xs on her hands like the ones patrons of Tandy’s Top Shelf in Eagle Square received when frequenting the establishment. After three requests, Lee reportedly agreed to field sobriety tests and allegedly “was off balance” and “swayed from side to side” as she exited the SUV. Another officer went to the garage and reported finding damage to a ramp that appeared to be fresh. Lee was later arrested. The second officer compared parts left at the garage to the Explorer, including a headlight, and they allegedly matched. The reporting officer also went back to the garage later and gathered evidence from the accident. About 18 hours before the arrest, according to police, Lee had allegedly been admitted to Concord Hospital for prescription drug overdose and had allegedly assaulted hospital staff during her admission. She was later released on $4,000 personal recognizance bail and is due in court on Nov. 4.
  • Crystal Joy Rollins, 36, of Weare, was arrested at 9:59 p.m. on Oct. 20, on suspended registration (operating-misd) and driving after revocation or suspension charges. While on motorcycle patrol downtown, an officer observed a car with windshield cracks at the intersection of Loudon Road and North Main Street. The vehicle was stopped near the Statehouse. The driver, Rollins, allegedly said the damage was recent and she was waiting for a replacement. A check revealed that Rollins’ license was suspended earlier in the day for default traffic summons, with a conviction on Sept. 19, for non-inspection. She was arrested and later, released on $3,000 personal recognizance bail. Rollins is due in court on Dec. 2.
  • Joseph Louis DiMattia, 49, of Concord, was arrested at 1:35 p.m. on Oct. 21, on a warrant. The warrant was out of Effingham on burglary and criminal threatening charges.
