The following information was supplied by the Concord Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

  • Brandon John Lamprey, 23, of Concord, was arrested at 1:15 p.m. on July 6, on a willful concealment charge, and possession of a controlled drug. The charge stems from an alleged incident on June 5, at the Sam’s Club on Sheep Davis Road involving a Seagate 4 terabyte remote hard drive valued at $179. According to affidavits, after investigating a theft incident allegedly involving Lamprey on June 7, a store clerk alleged that he was involved in another theft at the store two days before. At around 10 a.m. on June 5, store employees alleged that Lamprey was concealing items. The clerk alleged that Lamprey had selected items but put one of them back on the shelf. The clerk began to follow him around the store, alleging that Lamprey had something still concealed under the left side of his jacket. He later left the store, allegedly with the item, and when entering his vehicle, reportedly removed the item from the jacket and put it in the back seat of the vehicle, the clerk alleged. The officer examined footage of Lamprey in the store and alleged that when he entered the aisle with the hard drives, his jacket was unzipped. When he moved around to the other side of the aisle, “the corner of the box was visible under the right side of jacket,” the officer alleged. Two minutes later, the officer alleged, Lamprey returned one box to the display and allegedly kept another one in his jacket. On July 1, state laboratory results for a syringe that was allegedly found on Lamprey’s persons from a previous arrest was confirmed to have had heroin in it and the drug charge was added. Lamprey was being held at the Merrimack County House of Corrections at the time of the arrest. He was arraigned remotely on July 8.

An officer was called to the Irving station on Pleasant Street for a report of a theft. The clerk alleged that a man had come in and stolen beer and the left along North Fruit Street. Officers located the man later on North Fruit Street, sitting on a bench allegedly drinking from a 24-ounce can of Twisted Tea. The subject, later identified as Davis, was also allegedly in possession of a 24-ounce can of Steel Reserve beer too. Davis, however, denied stealing the alcohol, reportedly telling officers that he was just released from the hospital after an accident in Barnstead, something that was confirmed later. Two other beer cans were found in the area. One officer went to view video footage at the Irving while another officer continued to speak with Davis, who was later arrested. The value of the drinks were $7.76. Davis was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail and is due in court on Aug. 12. The next day, Davis was arrested again, and charged with default or breach of bail conditions and consumption of liquor on private property, a city ordinance violation, at a little before 7 p.m. outside the Staples on Fort Eddy Road. According to an affidavit, Davis was reportedly passed out on the cement outside of the store, a 24-ounce can of Steel Reserve beer next to him. “It took a minute for me to wake up the male,” the officer alleged. She reported that the restraining order became good for a year on July 1. An officer reached out to George about the case and the two reportedly met in a parking lot near his home. George reportedly told the officer he was drinking at Penuche’s in Bicentennial Square at the time the text message was sent. George said he lent his cellphone at the bar but denied sending the text. He said he didn’t know the full name of the person at the bar and didn’t have any way of contacting him. The officer requested to look at the phone but George reportedly told him it was at home and he didn’t want to show it to him “because it was probably there” and he didn’t want the officer to see it. George confirmed receiving the restraining order paperwork and reportedly told the officer that he wanted nothing to do with the woman and would not contact her again, so the paperwork did not matter. A few weeks later, a warrant was issued for George and he called in to police to arrange turning himself in. He later met police at the Szechuan Garden Restaurant on Fisherville Road. He was arrested and processed and held without bail. He was arraigned on July 22.
