Gun-Toting Mom in Trouble Again

Concord Police arrest Jessica McGratty on a driving charge after a fight with her ex.

A local woman with a history of recent arrests is in trouble again after an altercation with her child’s father last month.

Jessica Lee McGratty, 25, of Concord, was arrested at 11:40 p.m. on Oct. 14, and charged with driving after revocation or suspension and default or breach of bail conditions.

Officers were called to Dwinell Drive for an argument between a couple about the welfare of their child, according to an arrest report.

A man at the home alleged that McGratty came to his father’s house unannounced demanding their child.

The officer went to speak with McGratty, leading her out of the home for questioning. She allegedly stated that she was texting her ex about picking up their son during the evening since she was supposed to have him the next day. The ex, she alleged, stopped texting with her and she got worried and drove over to the house.

After arriving and entering through the garage door, her ex, she alleged, flipped out and now, won’t let her see their son.

The man told police that he didn’t want her arrested for entering the home but wanted her to leave, according to the arrest report.

Officers ran a check on McGratty and found she had a suspended license and was out on bail from the Epsom Police on condition she not drive.

The reporting officer spoke to McGratty about her case in Manchester, where she allegedly flashed a gun at men following her, which she said was continued in court. The arrest in Epsom was on a driving infraction, she reportedly stated.

The officer asked to see security video from the home and the man pulled it up on his phone, allegedly showing McGratty driving up to the home.

McGratty then allegedly started screaming at the officer and her ex, demanding to see her son and wouldn’t calm down, after being spoken to. She was later arrested.

According to a motor vehicle check, McGratty’s license was suspended on July 4, for cancellation of insurance. She had been convicted of operating after suspension, including in Derry District Court in July 2010. She was also arrested in Epsom on Sept. 13, on a conduct after an accident charge.

McGratty was later released on $15,000 personal recognizance bail and is due in court on Nov. 25.

Concord Police arrested McGratty on Oct. 5, on a warrant from the Epsom Police. She was also arrested on April 7, by Manchester Police who charged her with charged with reckless conduct, three counts of criminal threatening, all felonies, and conduct after an accident, after allegedly pulling a gun on a car that was following her and later, firing a shot into the air.
