Mix of GOP, Libertarian Activists Back Hemingway

Candidate says new steering committee will help him share Solutions First message with voters.

Gubernatorial candidate Andrew Hemingway, R-Bristol, released the names of his newly formed campaign steering committee on Feb. 11, a team that he hoped would lead him to victory against Gov. Maggie Hassan, D-Exeter, in November.

The committee includes social conservatives like former U.S. Sen. Gordon Humphrey, R-Chichester, who owns WKXL in Concord, and the 2012 Libertarian Party of New Hampshire gubernatorial nominee, John Babiarz of Grafton.

Hemingway, in a statement, said he was assembling a “strong team” that he hoped would offer “knowledgeable advice” in the coming months.

Turner Group in Concord; Richard Brothers of Sanborton, a former commissioner from the Department of Employment Security; Mike Hartwick, a Bedford entrepreneur; Biz Corrow, an Exeter GOP activist and businessman; as well as a number of state representatives including John Burt, Laura Jones, and Emily Sandblade.
