REMINDER: Special Traffic Patterns for Concord's July 5 Fireworks Event

If you're heading to the fireworks, here's what you need to know.


Concord's annual Fourth of July Fireworks display will be held on the evening of Friday, July 5.

To accommodate this event, several traffic pattern modifications will occur, beginning at 3:30 p.m. on that date.

  • South Fruit Street will be limited to one-way traffic in a northerly direction, from Clinton Street to Pleasant Street.
  • Redington Road will be one-way in an easterly direction, from Tuttle Street to South Fruit Street.
  • Minot Street will be one-way in a northerly direction from Pleasant Street to School Street.

There will be several other minor traffic pattern modifications in the area and on the grounds of the New Hampshire Hospital as well.

At the conclusion of the fireworks display, vehicles that have parked on the State Hospital grounds will be directed to exit easterly through the campus and onto Pleasant Street.

Motorists attending the fireworks are asked to observe all posted traffic signs and parking restrictions in the area.  Parking in the Memorial Field Parking Lot will be restricted to handicapped parking only. 

In order to minimize congestion, motorists not attending the fireworks are encouraged to use alternate routes during this period.
