Fourth of July Fireworks Are Happening

No begging for funds this year in Concord.

There will be no last minute scrambling for fireworks money in 2014 after the Concord City Council earlier this year budgeted money for the event.

The annual festivities are scheduled for Friday, July 4, at Memorial Field, according to the Concord Parks and Recreation Department.

There will also be a baseball game at 4 p.m., food venders, and other stuff happening. 105.5 JYY will be broadcasting live from Memorial Field at 5:30 p.m. The Nevers 2nd Regiment Band will begin playing at 7:30 p.m. Fireworks will begin at dusk, and will be shot from the complex, according to officials.
