TELL US: Is a Roundabout Needed on Concord’s Main Street?

Final listening session held tonight.

NH Listens will be facilitating a final public discussion about potential changes to Main Street in the wake of the city landing a $4.71 million federal TIGER grant for improvements and renovations. The event will take place at 6:30 p.m. tonight at the Grappone Conference Center.

There has been a lot of back and forth about the Main Street renovation project, with the Concord City Council approving of the initial concept of improving the city’s main drag.

In the last few weeks though, as designers started working on some conceptual drawings, a roundabout magically appeared in the designs, for the intersection of Pleasant and Main streets (the full PDF of the latest designs are included in this post).

Some think the idea is a great one; others think it is insanity.
