Kuster to Hold Government Shutdown Telephone Town Hall

Constituents in the 2nd Congressional District can ask questions about debt ceiling, standoff between Republicans and Democrats.

U.S. Rep. Ann McLane Kuster, D-NH, will hold a telephone town hall at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 10, to speak with constituents about issues surrounding the government shutdown, debt ceiling, and what elected officials are doing to address the problems.

Kuster said that she wanted to hear “directly from Granite Staters who have questions about what the shutdown means for them,” adding that residents of the district would receive an automated telephone call inviting them to join in the town hall.

“Congress needs to put these manufactured crises behind us so that we can actually work together to reduce the deficit, create jobs, and strengthen the middle class,” she said.
