VIDEO: Bouley Wins in Landslide
Here are the mayoral election results from Nov. 8.
Mayor Jim Bouley easily defeated challenger John Cook on Tuesday to win a third term in office. As the final votes were recorded at City Hall, Bouley thanked voters for their support and he said the new term would likely have a similar vibe as the old term: a challenging economy in which to operate.
At his election night party, Cook said he was disappointed in mustering only 550 votes. He ran to fight City Hall. Though he lost, and lost badly, he shared an anecdote from his days in the military, when he was beaten in a fight with a larger soldier. A friend asked him if he had won that fight. Cook said, "No, but they won't soon forget me."
Election Day in Concord saw a voter turnout of about 16 percent, according to the city clerk's office.

Voters approved a redistricting proposal to implement redistricting of city ward lines, on or before Jan. 1, 2014 – after the City Council earlier this year determined to divide the city into 10 wards of equal population based on the 2010 U.S. Census.
Voters also approved a school district charter and nine at-large School Board members to three at-large members and six members chosen two per three voting districts.
