Webster Man Arrested on Numerous Warrants

New Hampshire State Police assist Concord in apprehending Michael W. Durgin on numerous warrants.

It wasn't a very Merry Christmas for a Webster man who was arrested earlier today on numerous warrants, with the assistance of state troopers.

Michael Wayne Durgin, 34, of Webster, was arrested around 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 25, on warrants for theft by unauthorized taking, theft-larceny from a building, acts prohibited, all felonies, as well as a felony possession of a controlled drug charge.

According to a report from the state police, Concord Police requested assistance in apprehending Durgin, a fugitive wanted by both the Concord Police and Merrimack County Sheriff’s Office.

Troopers and officers from the Concord Police Department "were working active intelligence and conducting surveillance" when Durgin was spotted as a passenger in a car, according to the report.

Troopers from squads B and D, along with Concord and Hooksett police, conducted a vehicle stop and arrested Durgin, without incident, according to the report. He allegedly was in possession of a narcotic at the time of the arrest, so that charge was added to the warrant charges.

Durgin was transported to Concord Police headquarters for processing and refused bail. He was held in Merrimack County Jail and will be arraigned later this week.

In September, Durgin was arrested after an accident in Concord on a suspension charge and warrants. He was in court in November.
