  • Paul W. Carter, 28, of Concord, received a summons at 5:30 a.m. on Jan. 1, on a criminal mischief (vandalism) charge. Officers were called to Manchester Street for a report of a domestic disturbance. Dispatch told the officer that there would be a man waiting outside of the apartment to speak with him. The officer reported finding no one outside of the apartment so he rang the apartment buzzer and they were let in. The officers found two men, Carter and Cruz, in the hallway. The officers separated the two to talk about the situation. Cruz allegedly told an officer that he was upset because Carter was late getting home. The two began to argue and Cruz alleged that Carter had “shoved the front of his body with both hands” causing Cruz to hit a closet door and set it off its track. Cruz alleged that Carter flipped over a living room table and grabbed one of his vases and smashed it. The officers reported glass all over the apartment’s living room. Cruz alleged that Carter also threw another vase at him. During his interview, Carter reported that Cruz called him several times on his cell phone looking for him and when he got home, he went to bed. Carter alleged that Cruz had pulled a blanket off him while he was in bed. As he got up and attempted to leave, Carter alleged that Cruz blocked him and he reportedly pushed Cruz out of the way. Carter denied flipping over the coffee table and denied throwing a vase at Cruz. Carter alleged that Cruz threw a vase at the table, which he reportedly owns.
