The following information was supplied by the Concord Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Editor’s Note: Due to more extensive narratives in the Concord Police arrest reports, it’s taking a little bit longer to transcribe all the entries and that is why the dates vary so widely.

  • David Edward Austin, 17, of Loudon, received a summons at 8:24 a.m. on Dec. 13, on a disorderly conduct charge. Mark Joseph Curran, 17, of Chichester, received a summons at 8:24 a.m. on Dec. 13, 2012, on disorderly conduct charge. On the date in question, two officers arrived at the Merrimack Valley Learning Center on Washington Street in Penacook, for a report of students being disruptive. The officers met with the principal of the school who reported that there were four students in the hallway who had allegedly been disruptive. Other students were being held in the cafeteria. The principal explained the four were at Merrimack Valley High School earlier in the day and were supposed to take a bus to the learning center. Instead, they allegedly left the school and walked to a store in the square. A teacher reported seeing them at the Citizens Bank. When the four arrived at the learning center, they were separated in another room to be spoken with and allegedly became angry, loud, and were swearing. They reportedly began to play music and were told by staff to stop and they allegedly refused. As more students entered the learning center, the four allegedly became abusive towards the new students, yelling and swearing. So staffers separated the students and regular operation of the school was halted while the four students were dealt with, according to the principal. The officer reported that the students appeared to be ignoring the principal, using their cellphones, and allegedly swearing at the officers and others. “The stopped for a short time but later continued,” the officer reported. Staffers began to notify parents to come for their students while another officer arrived. One of the officers ordered two of the students twice to report to the principal’s office but they allegedly remained seated. One of the students told the officer he wanted him to, “Say please.” The officer threatened them with arrest and they went into the principal’s office. While waiting for parents, another student, Austin, tried to leave the principal’s office to talk to a girl and later returned, and allegedly slammed a door causing damage and he was placed in handcuffs until his mother arrived. He later received a summons. Curran was also upset with the interaction. He later ran out of the school and reportedly tripped and fell on the stairs, scraping his hands.
