The Concord Police Department is investigating an alleged home invasion on Concord Street in the city’s South End neighborhood last night.

Police were called to an apartment on 17 Concord Street around 8:15 p.m. for a report of a home invasion with two men, connected to Pembroke and Manchester, reportedly fleeing the scene. An all points bulletin was put out for the suspects and officers from around the city scoured the area looking for the two men. At least two witnesses, a man and a woman, were reportedly affected by the incident. At one point in the investigation, dispatchers warned officers in the field that one of the suspects might be armed with a gun obtained after the robbery.

At one point during the evening, one of the men allegedly involved in the incident, agreed to come into the police station in an effort to straighten out what he reportedly told dispatchers was a misunderstanding.

Later in the evening, Pembroke Police reported to Concord Police that the Pembroke man would be coming into the station and a watch commander requested that officers bring witnesses in to identify the possible suspect.

Lt. Timothy O’Malley confirmed that there was an incident but added that there wasn’t much he could report on today because the police were “actively investigating” everything involved with the incident.

“I don’t have any suspect information nor do I have any details,” he said. “I can’t comment on anything at this point.”

O’Malley said there were no major injuries and investigators were not clear exactly what the motive was. Police hope to have more information to share with the public later today.
