Dignitaries and other residents of Concord gathered on Thompson Street on Aug. 9, to show support for the Mahamed family, a family originally from Somalia that whose .

Residents banged on drums and sang songs, held hands, prayed, and heard speeches from Gov. and Concord Police Chief , denouncing the incident.
