Penacook’s Asian Taste Restaurant Robbed

Concord Police: Six-foot tall man flashed handgun during the robbery.

Concord Police are looking for a man who robbed the Asian Taste Restaurant on Village Street in Penacook earlier this evening.

According to a press statement, at around 9:30 p.m. on Aug. 8, officers were called to the restaurant for a report of an armed robbery.

A man reportedly entered the restaurant, displayed a handgun, and demanded money from a clerk at the restaurant. The man then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, according to the statement.

The man was described as being 5-feet, 10-inches tall to 6-feet tall, with a medium build. He was wearing black clothing with white gloves and a black mask, which covered his face, according to police.

“The crime scene is being processed for evidence, and a NH State Police K9 Unit is assisting in a search of the area,” according to Lt. Greg Taylor of the Concord Police Department. “This is an on-going investigation.”
