LOG: Hudson Woman Charged with DWI

The Concord Police Department supplied the following information. It does not indicate a conviction.

Joshua Dennis Taylor, 42, of Concord, was arrested at 9:25 a.m. on May 8, and was charged with criminal trespass, default or breach of bail conditions, and consumption of liquor on private property. While on bike patrol in the area of Cumberland Farms on North Main Street, officers saw several people hanging around the railroad tracks behind the Concord Center. The officers rode down to talk to the individuals. One, Taylor, was allegedly holding an open 25-ounce can of Natty Daddy beer. A check of Taylor revealed that he was out on bail on a previous no trespassing charge on the tracks, with a no alcohol condition and he was arrested. Taylor had a court date on May 16.

Deidre A. Desmarais, 52, of Hudson, was arrested at 6:23 p.m. on May 9, on a driving while intoxicated charge. An officer was sent to Hobart Street for a report of a Toyota Highlander that had stopped but may have been speeding and driving off the road multiple times in Boscawen earlier. Boscawen Police also headed to the scene as the Concord officer began speaking with the driver, Desmarais, who allegedly had eyes that were “bloodshot and glassy.” The right tire on the vehicle was also blown and flat, with damage to the hubcap. She allegedly admitted to the officer that she had been driving but denied consuming alcohol or drugs. She agreed to field sobriety tests and was allegedly “unsteady on her feet” and later, arrested. At least one witness offered testimony about the vehicle on the road, according to the report. Desmarais had a court date on May 19.

Matthew R. Flanagan, 24, of Concord, was arrested at 12:28 a.m. on May 10, and charged with driving while two counts of intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated, and negligent driving. An officer was sent to Shawmut Street for a vehicle that struck a telephone pole causing wires to fall in the road. Callers reported that the driver might be impaired. The officer arrived at the scene and spoke to the driver, Flanagan, who allegedly projected “the odor of an alcoholic beverage” and had “bloodshot and glassy” eyes. He was also allegedly slurring his speech, according to the report. Flanagan allegedly told the officer that he had been in a fight with his girlfriend, left his home on Randolph Road, and may have purposely drove at the telephone pole. Fire and rescue teams checked Flanagan and transported him to Concord Hospital. Witnesses at the scene stated that they didn’t hear any screeching tires before the crash. Another witness in the report alleged that he had been drinking and smoking marijuana before the crash. The officer later went to the hospital and spoke with medical staff and later, arrested Flanagan. He was also cited for speeding and had a court date on May 19.

Jacob A. Clark, 18, of Chichester, received a summons at 11 p.m. on May 11, for negligent driving. At just before 10 p.m. on May 10, an officer running radar in the parking lot of the Everett Arena noticed a vehicle speeding through the parking lot, heading east and later, slamming on its breaks, to create skid marks. A second vehicle followed, doing the same thing. The first driver reportedly left his 2009 Chevrolet Malibu and approached the Port-a-potties. The officer drove over to the area and spoke with the driver, Clark, about the driving. When asked why he was driving that way, Clark allegedly stated that he had to go to the bathroom badly. The officer told him to sit and wait while speaking to the two other people in the other car. Clark was later summoned to court on the charge and allegedly admitted it was “a stupid mistake.” He’s due in court on June 16.

Tracey A. Steinhilber, 24, of Concord, was arrested at 1:20 a.m. on May 11, on three counts of driving while intoxicated and a single count of possession of drugs. An officer was sent to the area of South and Laurel streets for a possible DWI involving a blue Ford Focus. The officer met with the person who had made the call. The witness alleged that there were people fighting and one, who appeared to be intoxicated, got into a vehicle and left. As the officer was speaking with the witness, the Focus drove by and then, made an illegal U-turn onto South Street by Perley Street, without using a signal. The officer pulled the vehicle over and spoke with the driver, Steinhilber, who reportedly had red marks on her neck and allegedly smelled of alcohol. Steinhilber agreed to take field sobriety tests and was arrested. An inventory of her vehicle allegedly revealed a bag of marijuana. She had a court date on May 19.

Joshua Ronald Smith, 39, of Concord, was arrested at 9:55 p.m. on May 12, on a bench warrant. Officers were sent to Poplar Avenue for a suspicious person in the area. While searching the area, they came in contact with Smith and ran a check on him and an active bench warrant from nonappearance in Candia District Court from March 21, on a criminal mischief charge, came up and he was arrested. Smith is due in court on June 16.

Sherry A. Moore, 36, of Concord, was arrested at 12:10 a.m. on May 13, on a theft charge from May 12, at the Walmart on Loudon Road. Officers were sent to the store for a fraud charge. A loss prevention employee allegedly saw a woman put items in her cart in the domestics section and then head to the service counter and trade the items in the cart for a gift card. The woman reportedly continued walking around the store and later, took a couple of shirts and some groceries, and then paid for them with the gift card. After the woman exited the store, the employee stopped her. An officer viewed the surveillance footage and then spoke to the woman, identified as Moore, and arrested her. She’s due in court on June 16.

Jonathan Norton, 31, of Holden, MA, was arrested at 2:35 p.m. on May 13, on a bench warrant. While on patrol on South Main Street, an officer saw two men cross the street near Hills Avenue and continue walking south. Later, a report came up which sounded like the description of one of the men. The officer went back to speak to the men and one, Norton, and a warrant for nonappearance in Hampton District Court on July 23, 2001, for unlawful possession of alcohol. He was arrested and had a court date on May 19.

Debbie Gilmore, 44, of Concord, was arrested at 1:57 p.m. on May 13, on a default or breach of bail conditions charge. Officers were sent to the Vegas Block Apartment Building on North Main Street for a woman banging on a door of an apartment with the dweller stating she didn’t know who the woman was. The officers came in contact with the woman, Glimore, who allegedly stated her name was “Lisa.” Gimore was allegedly intoxicated and was taken into protective custody. Later, officers learned she was out on bail on a previous criminal trespass charge and was supposed to stay away from alcohol. She was arrested, held without bail, and arraigned on May 14.

Abibu Bashiru, 22, of Concord, was arrested at 6:03 p.m. on May 13, on a warrant. Officers and a sergeant were sent to Old Suncook Road for a domestic disturbance. A woman at the home stated that she was “frustrated with her sons” and Bashiru allegedly wasn’t “helping out with expenses and was being disrespectful to her.” The officers determined that there were no laws broken but Bashiru was arrested for a warrant requested by Manchester Police.

Jason Alan Leblanc, 34, of Concord, was arrested at 8:04 p.m. on May 13, on a bench warrant. An officer was sent to Ruby Tuesday to arrest Leblanc on a warrant out of Concord District Court from July 20, 2012, for nonpayment of fines from an operating after a suspension charge. He had a court date on May 30.
