Inmate Walks Away From Concord Transitional Housing Unit

The New Hampshire Department of Corrections announces that a minimum security inmate walked away from the North End Transitional Housing Unit in Concord on Friday, March 21. 

Jeremy Neil Slack, 37, of Concord, left the facility at 8 a.m. to go to work and was told to return to the facility at 12:40 pm. He did not return. He was placed on walkaway status at approximately 2 p.m.

Slack is described as a white male, 6 feet tall, 220 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He has multiple tattoos on his right arm, right forearm, right shoulder, and left arm.

He was convicted in Merrimack County Superior Court for Possession of Controlled Drugs (Cocaine) and received a sentence of five years minimum to 15 years maximum. He was admitted to the NH State Prison on Oct. 4, 2007, and was paroled on July 2, 2009, with a maximum release date of Sept. 22, 2022. He was also convicted in Merrimack County Superior Court of Theft by Misapplication (RSA 637:10) and received a sentence of three years minimum to seven years maximum with one year of his minimum suspended with 109 days of pre-trial detainment credited to his sentence concurrent with the earlier sentence. He began serving the second sentence on Jan. 26, 2012, and was eligible for parole on that one on Oct. 7, 2013 with a maximum release date of Oct. 6, 2018. 

The New Hampshire Department of Corrections Investigations Bureau and the New Hampshire State Police are investigating the incident.  Anyone with information on his whereabouts are urged to contact their local law enforcement agency or the New Hampshire State Prison at 603-271-1801.
