Hill Man Charged Twice in One Week

Allegedly assaulted girlfriend with a cake pan and then tampered with a witness.

A resident of Hill was charged twice in recently after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend and then tampering with witnesses, according to the .

Robert Lombardi Jr., 55, of Hill, was arrested on April 8, and charged with two counts of simple assault (personal weapons) and criminal mischief (vandalism).

According to an arrest report, at around 9:30 p.m. on the day in question, Lombardi was arrested at a Bonney Street address after allegedly injuring his girlfriend with a metal cake pan. He was placed on personal recognizance bail of $6,000 and is due back in Sixth District Court to answer to the charges on May 14.

In the early morning hours of April 12, Lombardi was re-arrested and charged with tampering with witnesses and informants (intimidation), a felony, and two default or breach of bail conditions charges, based on an incident earlier in the day. While specifics were not readily available concerning the case, an arrest report stated that a CD of recordings and a note were gathered as evidence during the investigation of the case.

On the second arrest, cash bail was set at $16,000. Lombardi had a court date on April 12.
