Fugitive Sex Offender May be in Southern NH

William Gagnon is forced to register as a sex offender due to a 1996 conviction for sexually assaulting an underage teen.

The U.S. Marshals–N.H. Joint Fugitive Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance in locating fugitive sex offender William Gagnon, 40, whose last known address was in Manchester.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and the Manchester Police Department have both requested the assistance of the fugitive task force in an effort to locate and arrest Gagnon. He is currently being sought on two outstanding arrest warrants, including one for failure to maintain his sex offender registration, as well as a second warrant issued by the Hillsborough County Superior Court for probation violations in connection with a prior conviction and sentence for the same offense of failing to maintain his sex offender registration.

Gagnon was previously featured as a U.S. Marshal’s–Fugitive of the Week in 2010 on his first sex offender registration violation. He is required to register as a sex offender due to convictions in 1996 in Essex County Superior Court (MA) for two counts of felonious sexual assault on a victim that was age 13 or older and under age 16, with an age difference of more than four years; and aggravated felonious sexual assault on a victim under the age of 13.

He is described as  6’1”, 240 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo of Speedy Gonzalez on his right shoulder and the initials “JED” on his right arm. He also has a noticeable scar on his chin and on his right knee.

Gagnon could be hiding anywhere in the southern New Hampshire or northern Massachusetts area. Anyone who knows of his whereabouts or who has observed a person resembling him is urged to contact the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in New Hampshire at 603-225-1632, WEB-TIPor your local police.
