The following information was supplied by the Concord Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

  • Constance Covell, 28, of Concord, was summoned at 9:45 p.m. on April 20, on a resisting arrest or detention charge. An officer was sent to Maplewood Lane to assist Concord Fire and Rescue teams with a person who was not being cooperative. The officer reportedly observed Covell being verbally uncooperative with medical personnel after witnesses and rescue team workers believed she may have ingested “a dangerous amount of alcohol and medications.” The officer alleged that Covell was “highly intoxicated” and barely able to stand up. The officer observed an empty bottle of wine, a nearly empty bottle of rum, and medication bottles on a counter. An officer attempted to take her into protective custody but she allegedly pulled away several times and attempted to get past the officer toward a door. While being cuffed, Covell allegedly kicked at a rescue worker and allegedly began an attempt to spit at the workers and the officer. Eventually, she was transported to Concord Hospital. She’s due in court on May 13.
  • McKayla Bond, 17, of Concord, was arrested at 2:36 p.m. on April 21, on a simple assault (personal weapons) charge. Upon arrival, the officer allegedly observed the teen, Bond, in the driver’s seat of a vehicle, “extremely upset,” and crying. Bond’s mother was standing next to the vehicle. The officer then separated the two. According to the daughter, she allegedly stated that the two got into an argument about “going to see puppies” but she didn’t remember much else beyond getting upset. She allegedly admitted to scratching her mother with her fingernails. The officer spoke to the mother and reported seeing “deep scratch marks to both of her arms.” The mother alleged that the daughter didn’t mean to get upset and it was probably due to medications she was taking. After speaking to the mother about the case, Bond was arrested and later released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail. She is due in court on May 20.

Smith reportedly rifled through his bag trying to find something and later, showed the officers cards with his name on it. The officer asked where he lived and Smith said it was complicated. When asked what he was doing walking at that time of the night, Smith reportedly looked in the direction of the woods behind the Everett Arena and said he filed papers in the woods. Dispatch later told the officer that Smith was wanted by Manchester District Court on a disorderly conduct charge from March 12, 2012, with an amount of bail “to be determined.” Smith was arrested and refused bail. She told him to leave or she was calling the police, and he allegedly did. The woman showed the officer the temporary order, through April 24, demanding that Sanders stay at least 100 yards from the woman, as well as a no trespass order. The sister alleged that while she didn’t know if it was Sanders, it was a male voice and her sister’s upset reaction led her to believe it was Sanders. Sanders, meanwhile, allegedly denied being at the house stating that he was at a friend’s home to drop off a sweater.
