Officers were called to Sandquist Street for an alleged assault. Prior to arriving, dispatch told officers that a minivan with Florida plates had left the scene. One officer saw the vehicle on Hall Street and pulled the minivan over. The person in the minivan stated that they had left the scene of the wedding reception because there was a lot of fighting going on. A passenger in the van, Hanley, stated she had gotten into an altercation with the groom and alleged that he choked her. The officer used a flashlight to confirm that she had a small cut on her neck. The officers then went to Sandquist Street and met with the man who “was shirtless and was covered in what appeared to be food.” The man said he and his new bride had gotten into an argument. When she went inside the house, he went outside to speak with his mother and while venting, Hanley allegedly got in between them and started yelling at him. “Some of the guests intervened and forced Hanely to go back in the house,” the officer reported. Later, the groom went into the house to apologize to the bride and Hanley allegedly accosted him again and followed him around the house as he tried to find his wife. Then, the groom alleged, Hanley punched him in the chest and he reportedly admitted grabbing her by the neck forcing her away. Other people jumped into the fray and forced Hanley downstairs. Back downstairs, the groom alleged that Hanley was still yelling at him and allegedly threw a hamburger at him. Other party guests got between the two and Hanley reportedly left the home. The man wouldn’t identify himself but officers found an ID in his wallet. Dufield was requested to get up but reportedly had difficulty standing and later, allegedly admitted to having two beers. Dufield was later transported to Concord Hospital to be cleared. At the hospital though, the officer alleged that Dufield became “extremely uncooperative” and responded vulgarly to a nurse.
