Concord Woman Charged With Heroin Possession, Transport in Salem

Police arrested Amy-Jo Currier, 25, last week.

A Concord woman was arrested in Salem on Jan. 9, and charged with heroin possession, according to Salem Police.

Amy-Jo Currier, 25, was charged with possession of a controlled drug (Heroin–FEL) and transportation of a controlled drug (Heroin).

Officers were in the area conducting surveillance of the Red Roof Inn of a female suspect known to Salem Police as a suspect in the July 2011 robbery of Pentucket Bank in Salem.

Currier was stopped in her vehicle for multiple vehicle infractions, where officers observed a baggie of Heroin.

Several more baggies of Heroin, $940 in cash and two cell phones were also seized from the vehicle after Currier was taken into custody.

She was processed and later posted $600 cash bail and was released.

Currier, according to reports, has had other arrests in the past. 

Back in June 2011, while living in Loudon, she was arrested and charged with theft by unauthorized taking or transfer at the Walmart on Loudon Road. In October 2011, she was reportedly arrested on drug charges in Andover, Mass., according to the Lawrence Eagle-Tribune.
