Concord Police Release Details in Decomposed Body Case

Investigators believe the dead person found near Route 106 on Sept. 17, may have been missing since July or August.

Concord Police investigators have released some details about the decomposed body found near Route 106 just south of the Sam’s Club on Sheep Davis Road.

According to a statement from Lt. Timothy O’Malley, the commander of the criminal investigations unit of the department, New Hampshire State Police received a report about the body being found around 4:30 a.m. on Sept. 17. Officers from Concord were dispatched to the location and confirmed the body, about 80 feet from the road.

The scene was secured and once the sun came up, police looked for evidence in the area, while waiting for the state medical examiner to respond.

As of this post, police have limited details about the person.

“As of this time both the cause of death and the identity of the deceased person is undetermined,” O’Malley said. “The body was badly decomposed and as a result, officials are unable to determine whether or not this person is a male or female.”

The person is believed to have short dark hair, possibly a buzz cut that had grown out a bit. The person was wearing dark jeans, a gray T-shirt, and an olive green fleece.

Investigators are looking for information about anyone who may have been missing since or were last seen around July or August of this year.
