Concord Man Faces Charges After Incident in Durgin Block Garage

A Concord man is facing charges after an early morning incident the day after he was let out of jail on sex offender reporting charges.

John F. Sadatis, 33, of Concord, was arrested at 1:36 a.m. on Feb. 26, on a disorderly conduct charge and two default or breach of bail conditions.

According to a Concord Police arrest report, an officer was sent to the second floor of the Durgin Block Garage for a report of an intoxicated individual standing on a ledge near the entry sign, according to a caller.

The woman who made the call reportedly reached over and grabbed Sadatis and moved him into a car while the officer was on his way to the scene.

The officer reported that when he saw Sadatis in the car, “he looked at me and then immediately pulled a sleeping bag over his head and concealed his hands inside the bag.” The officer demanded to see his hands and he obliged, according to the report.

Sadatis reportedly exited the car and was allegedly “unsteady” on his feet while the officer could smell “a strong odor of alcohol” coming from him. He later allegedly admitted to going out onto the ledge after an argument with his girlfriend.

Earlier in the day, Sadatis was released from jail on failure to register as a sex offender charge and was on probation for a theft charge, according to the report.

Sadatis denied drinking alcohol but was arrested and charged. He refused bail services and was arraigned on Feb. 26.
