Body Found in Merrimack River Identified

Robert Richard had been missing for more than a month.

Authorities are reporting that Robert Richard was the man who was pulled from the in Concord last week, according to WMUR-TV

Richard, a homeless man, was last seen on March 15, staying in the camps just north of the on Loudon Road. Family members reported not hearing from him a day or two after he went missing and about the situation. 

A few days later, state and local investigators began to , woods, and the river itself, both on foot and from the air, with K-9 units, boats, and helicopters but found nothing.

Last Thursday, with the Merrimack River lowered due to lack of rain and melting snow run-off, the body of a man was found near the shoreline.

It is unknown whether the death was accidental or suspicious in nature.
