The following information was supplied by the Concord Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

  • Brielle N. Bent, 18, of Concord, was arrested at 8:45 p.m. on May 1, on a driving after revocation or suspension charge. An officer was called to the New Hampshire Prison for a motor vehicle offense service call. Dispatch reported to the officer that a witness alleged that Bent was driving with a suspended license. While en route, a sergeant was reportedly behind the 2010 Cadillac while it was driving on North State Street. The officer and a sergeant pulled the vehicle over at Village Street and Borough Road. Bent, the driver, was unable to provide a license but showed a debit card with her name on it. According to dispatch, Bent was under indefinite suspension since Jan. 22, with a notice sent on Feb. 5. Later, Bent was issued a summons for the suspension charge and driving on roadways laned for traffic. She had a court date on June 10.
  • Alicia Lyn Schroder, 23, of Concord, was arrested at 7:39 p.m. on May 7, on a bench warrant. An officer interviewed Schroder at headquarters concerning her vehicle being stolen. While talking with Schroder, the officer was told that there was a warrant for her arrest from earlier in the day on a theft by unauthorized taking charge, with $500 cash to settle. Schroder came up with the cash and was released. She had a court date in May. The officer reported that her apartment’s management company towed her vehicle due to having no registrations.
  • Syla Rene Shields, 19, of Concord, was arrested at 10:35 p.m. on May 9, and charged with two counts of simple assault (personal weapons) and criminal mischief (vandalism). Officers were called to North State Street for a report of a disturbance with someone yelling at another person about a knife. The officers spoke with a number of people outside the residence while other officers spoke with Shields, who was in the kitchen. None of the officers found anyone who was injured but they alleged that Shields and another person were intoxicated. An officer noticed that a door at the top of the stairs in a hallway was splintered and there was wood scattered on the floor. The latch was also broken off a frame. There was also a hole in the wall, which “was similar in size to a fist hitting the wall,” an officer reported. Shields reportedly told the officer that the argument was about food being cooked in the home, since each person paid for their own food. Shields alleged that her brother cooked her chicken without her permission and then, when she wanted to talk to him, he wouldn’t come out of his room. Shields and her brother allegedly argued through the door and then downstairs, according to the report. Shields reportedly told officers that her brother was holding her wrists, to prevent her from hitting him, and she hit the wall. Later, she was arrested and charged. Other witnesses, who were neighbors, reported hearing people “screaming and tumbling around” inside the house, with two women reportedly telling a man to put down a knife. Another witness who lived in the home denied hearing any arguing about a knife. Later, officers met with Shields’ brother, at the former Red and Gold gas station on Pleasant Street. The brother alleged that Shields and another woman were “cornering him in the room and screaming at him” about the food. He reportedly told officers he fled the house because he couldn’t take the arguing anymore. He also denied threatening his sister with a knife, adding that he loved her and would never hurt her. The officer reported seeing no injuries on the man and no cuts on his hands. Shields had a court date on June 10.
  • Joshua D. Taylor, 41, of Concord, was arrested at 9:30 p.m. on May 11, and charged with theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and criminal mischief (vandalism).
  • Gordon Kenyon, was arrested on May 11, on warrants. Officers were called Washington Street in Penacook for a report of a fight. Upon arrival, officers found most of the witnesses “uncooperative” about the incident, with the two parties separating themselves prior to police arriving. While checking with dispatch though, two individuals came up with warrants. Taylor was sought by the Concord Police for an incident on March 26, on theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and criminal mischief (vandalism) after allegedly stealing copper piping from the radiator and furnace as well as damaging a baseboard heating system owned by the New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority. Kenyon was wanted on warrants from Manchester District Court from Dec. 22, 2000, for unlawful possession of alcohol, and May 7, from Sixth Circuit, for driving after revocation or suspension. Kenyon also received a city ordinance violation for allegedly urinating into the drain of the booking cell during processing. Kenyon reportedly told the officer he was careful and thought it was OK, since he done that while being booked in Maine previously. Those officers said it was OK, he reportedly told Concord officers. Both were released on personal recognizance bail and are due in court on June 17.
  • Gerald Reis, 46, of New Bedford, Mass., was arrested at 7:57 p.m. on May 12, on a warrant. While traveling eastbound on Loudon Road, an officer reportedly saw a black Chevrolet Impala sedan that met the description of a vehicle that may have been involved in an attempted kidnapping on May 11. The car was pulled over and checked. Dispatch noted that Reis, a passenger in the vehicle, had a warrant from Bow. The victim in that case was a 20-year-old woman. Reis was arrested and later, released to Bow Police.
  • Augustine Ndikumana, 41, of Concord, was arrested at 6:30 p.m. on May 13, on a simple assault (personal weapons) charge. An officer was called to the intersection of Christian Avenue and Ormond Street at Concord Gardens to assist the Concord Fire Department with an alarm call. One of the apartments was full of smoke from food burning on a stove. A woman was reportedly asleep on the couch at the time. Later, Ndikumana, the sleeping woman’s husband, showed up to the apartment and approached the woman and “wound up his right hand and hit (the woman) across the left side of her face with an open hand,” according to a firefighter. Neither the woman nor Ndikumana spoke English, only Kirundi, according to the officer. Police later arrested Ndikumana. After a translator was found, Ndikumana was released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail and is due in court on June 17.
  • Justin P. Fostier, 21, of Concord, was arrested at 2:45 p.m. on May 16, on a bench warrant. While on Bouton Street, an officer reportedly observed a 2011 Kia Rio without an inspection sticker traveling on North Main Street. The vehicle was pulled over outside the Concord Group Insurance Companies. Fostier allegedly told the officer that the vehicle failed inspection in April 19, because of the tires. He reportedly said he ordered tires but they hadn’t come in yet. Dispatch noted that Fostier was wanted on a warrant out of Franklin District Court from May 3, for nonpayment of fine on a possession of a license requirement. He was arrested and later released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail and is due in Franklin District Court on June 10.
