ARRESTS: Concord Man Allegedly Steals Samsung Cellphone from Woman

The following information was supplied by the Concord Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

  • Christopher Engelhardt, 18, of Concord, was arrested at 9:33 p.m. on Oct. 30, and charged with theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, conspiracy to commit, default or breach of bail conditions, and a bench warrant. Police allege that he stole baseball and lacrosse gloves from Walmart on Aug. 21. Engelhardt refused bail and had a court date on Oct. 31.
  • Luke Burgos, 21, of Antrim, was arrested at 2:15 p.m. on Nov. 4, and charged with simple assault (personal weapons), criminal mischief (vandalism), and theft by unauthorized taking or transfer. The charges stem from alleged incidents on North State Street on Nov. 2. The alleged victim in the case was a Concord man who was reportedly a friend. Police allege that Burgos stole $5 from the man’s wallet, smashed a coffee table valued at $150, and damaged walls in an apartment. Personal recognizance bail was set at $3,000. Burgos is due in Sixth Circuit District Division Court on Dec. 3.
  • Nathan Rae Vandyke, 24, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested on Nov. 6, on a bench warrant. He was arrested at 10:05 a.m. at the Concord Police Department headquarters on Green Street. Personal recognizance bail was set at $1,000 and Vandyke had a court date on Nov. 6.
  • James G. McBee, 34, of Concord, was arrested on Nov. 6, on a simple assault (personal weapons) charge. He was arrested at 12:55 p.m. at Grenier, Edwin & Phyll on Allison Street. The alleged victim in the case was his common-law spouse, a Franklin woman. Personal recognizance bail was set at $2,000. McBee is due in Sixth Circuit District Division Court on Dec. 10.
  • Kathleen Raposo Abelha, 25, of Concord, received a summons at 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 6, for simple assault (personal weapons) at Grenier, Edwin & Phyll on Allison Street. The alleged victim in the case was her spouse, a Concord man. She is due in Sixth Circuit District Division Court on Dec. 10.
  • Deborah Goodwin, 56, a homeless woman now located in Concord, was arrested on Nov. 6, and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated. She was arrested at 2:15 p.m. at Concord Collision Center on Hall Street. Personal recognizance bail was set at $2,000. Goodwin is due in Sixth Circuit District Division Court on Nov. 6.
  • Melinda L. Braley, 31, of Concord, was arrested on Nov. 8, on a simple assault (personal weapons) charge. She was arrested at 7:05 p.m. about two and half hours after an alleged incident at the intersection of Canterbury Road and Loudon Road. The alleged victim in the case was her boyfriend, a Laconia man. Cash bail was set at $10,000 and Braley had a court date on Nov. 9.
  • Charles Edward Mercier, 73, of Effingham, was issued a summons at 7:10 p.m. on Nov. 8, on a conduct after an accident charge. The charge stems from an alleged incident on Loudon Road on Sept. 22. Mercier allegedly destroyed or damaged property owned by the city of Concord. He is due in court on Dec. 10. 
  • Glenn A. Merrill, 43, of Concord, was arrested on Nov. 8, and charged with criminal trespass and receiving stolen property. He was arrested at 10:32 p.m. on Tremont Street. The alleged victim in the case was a Concord woman. A Samsung cellphone valued at $100 was reportedly recovered in the case. Cash bail was set at $5,000 and Merrill had a court date on Nov. 9.
  • Kendra Chamberland, 19, of Concord, was arrested at 6:23 p.m. on Oct. 19, on theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and default or breach of bail conditions. The charges stem from an alleged incident at 9 p.m. on Oct. 4, on 25 1/2 Union Street. Police allege that Chamberland stole $400 in cash. The alleged victim in the case was a Concord woman who was a friend of Chamberland’s. Personal recognizance bail was set at $10,000. Chamberland is due in Sixth Circuit District Division Court on Nov. 19.
  • Sapphire Barrows, 17, of Merrimack, was issued a summons at 4:56 a.m. on Oct. 20, on one count of unlawful possession of alcohol at an apartment on Fisherville Road. Barrows is due in Sixth Circuit District Division Court on Nov. 19.
