ARRESTS: 9/11, a Busy Day for Police

The following information was supplied by the Concord Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

  • Margaret Manario, 45, of Concord, was arrested at 3:30 a.m. on Sept. 11, on a second-degree assault charge, a felony. The charges stem from an alleged incident two and half hours before on Concord Royal Gardens involving a knife or cutting instrument, according to an arrest report. The alleged victim in the case was her spouse, a Concord man. Cash bail was set at $10,000.
  • Miles J. Whitener Jr., 46, of Concord, was arrested at 9:36 a.m. on Sept. 11, on a change of registration information; duty to inform charge. He was arrested at the Concord Police Department headquarters. Police allege that Whitener failed to re-register when he moved on March 14. Personal recognizance bail was set at $1,000. Whitener is due in Sixth Circuit District Division Court on Oct. 15.
  • Steven W. Murphy, 25, of Canterbury, was arrested at 10:23 a.m. on Sept. 11, on a change of address; duty to inform charge, related to sex offender registration. He was arrested at the Concord Police Department headquarters. Police allege that Murphy failed to re-register when he moved on July 1. Personal recognizance bail was set at $1,000. Murphy is due in Sixth Circuit District Division Court on Oct. 15.
  • Jesse M. Moran, 18, of Concord, was arrested at 11:45 a.m. on Sept. 11, and charged with burglary, a felony, criminal mischief (vandalism), and default or breach of bail conditions. The charges stem from alleged incidents at 8:45 a.m. on Feb. 19, on Cross Street, and 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 9, on 16 Fowler Street. A handgun was seized during the arrest. The alleged victims in the case were two Concord women and a woman from Boston, Mass. Police allege that Moran stole a MacBook Pro laptop, box storage box, a picture frame, a cigar box, various amounts of jewelry, and $120 in cash. Police allege that piggybanks and alcohol bottles were shattered during the burglary. The police were also able to take gel footprints at the scene to match the shoes and shoe size that Moran allegedly wore. The Concord High School student refused cash bail of $40 and had a court date on Sept. 12.
  • Samuel A. Osterhout, 22, of Concord, was arrested on Sept. 11, and charged with driving after revocation or suspension and default or breach of bail conditions. He was arrested at 1:25 p.m. at the intersection of East Side Drive and Loudon Road. Personal recognizance bail was set at $5,000. The UNH student is due in Sixth Circuit District Division Court on Oct. 15.
  • Amy M. Austin, 36, a homeless woman now located in Laconia, was arrested on Sept. 11, and charged with two counts of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and three bench warrants. She was arrested at 1:42 p.m. at Market Basket on Storrs Street. The bench warrants related to alleged incidents on April 10, April 12, and April 30. Police allege that Austin stole crackers, cheese, and guzzlers, all valued at $7. The items were recovered. Cash bail was set at $5,000. She had a court date on Sept. 12.
  • Bradley C. Cyr, 20, a homeless man now located in Laconia, arrested on Sept. 11, on theft by unauthorized taking or transfer charge. Cyr allegedly stole a container of Mountain Dew and some Sour Patch Kids candies at 1:42 p.m. at the Market Basket on Storrs Street. The items, valued at $3, were recovered by police. Cash bail was set at $1,000 and Cyr had a court date on Sept. 12.
  • Brian Keith Duguay, 24, of Concord, was arrested 5:52 p.m. on Sept. 11, on a simple assault (personal weapons) charge. The charges stem from an alleged incident at 11:45 p.m. on Sept. 10, on North Main Street. The alleged victim in the case was his girlfriend, a Concord woman. Personal recognizance bail was set at $2,000. Duguay is due in Sixth Circuit District Division Court on Oct. 15.
  • Christy L. Lea, 45, of Manchester, was arrested at 6:58 p.m. on Sept. 11, and charged with criminal trespass. The charges stem from an alleged incident at 7 p.m. on Aug. 7, on Great Falls Drive. The alleged victim in the case was a Concord man.
  • Roger W. Robidas, 46, of Manchester, was arrested 7 p.m. on Sept. 11, and charged with simple assault (personal weapons) and criminal trespass. The charges stem from an alleged incident at 7 p.m. on Aug. 7, on Great Falls Drive. The alleged victim in the case was a Concord man. Personal recognizance bail was set at $4,000. Robidas is due in Sixth Circuit District Division Court on Oct. 15.
