Bach's Lunch Series Concert: Jazz Generations

*12:10 - 12:50 p.m.

Matt Langley, saxophone; David Tonkin, guitar; Scott Kiefner, bass; & Michael Sink, piano

This concert features two recent Scholarship Jazz Ensemble alumni – Mike Sink, piano and Scott Kiefner, bass – in a quartet with their Scholarship Ensemble Coach, guitarist David Tonkin and jazz faculty member Matt Langley, saxophone.

Peggy Senter, the Music School’s president, expresses her excitement about this ensemble: “As musicians, we on the faculty know how influential our own teachers continue to be for us ...throughout our lives. When we’re able to make music with our own students at a high level, that’s a real thrill and becomes an influence as well.”

The Bach’s Lunch Series received a 2007 Best of NH Award from New Hampshire Magazine, named as an Editor's Pick - “best place to bring a brown-bag lunch.”

The Bach’s Lunch Series is sponsored by The Timothy and Abigail B. Walker Lecture Fund and The Couch Trusts, TD Bank, N.A., Trustee.
