Concord Grange Has a New Home

Concord Grange will now meet at the Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union Hall at 48 Airport Road

After 10 years of trying to find a new home, Concord Grange members are very pleased to know their search is over.

Having met at Havenwood for the past several years, the Grange is packing its bags and moving to the Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union Hall at 48 Airport Road.

The first meeting of the Grange in their new home will be Monday, May 20 at 7 p.m.

The Grange normally meets on the fourth of each month at 7 p.m. with a couple exceptions. The Grange will not meet on the fourth Monday if a holiday falls on that date. This meeting will feature Family Activities Night with members being asked to submit coffeecake for the Grange Baking Contest. The winning entry will go o nto Merrimack County Pomona for competition at the Pomona level.

The Grange is currently getting ready for the 100th Anniversary Celebration. The Grange is currently asking for recipes from its members and family members of those who were members when they died.

All recipes must be typed on a 3 x 5 index card and sent to Dick Patten, 30 Pinewood Trail, Concord, NH 03301 or email them to dickpatten7@gmail.com

All recipes must be received by Sept. 1, 2013.

James Cusano is assisting me with the 100th anniversary planning. All members are encouraged to assist them with the various events being talked about. Todd Larocque was weclomed as a new member recently. Todd was honored recently as Young Farmer of the Year by the local Grange.

The Grange will be sponsoring Splash Bash at the Heights Park this summer. This will be the second year in which The Grange has sponsored this.

There were no funds last year for Splash Bash at the Heights pool from the City Recreation Department. This year funding was not available again, so the Grange stepped up to the plate.
