VIDEO: Concord Business Leaders Donate a Lot of Food

Hundreds turn out for Business After Hours event.

Hundreds of business leaders came together at the Grappone Conference Center on Dec. 12, for both merriment and philanthropy.

For the last three decades or so, the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce’s Business After Hours event during the holiday season was turned into an opportunity to help the Capital Region Food Program. Instead of the usual $7 donation, four or more pieces of food were accepted as an entrance fee, food that was given to the program.

Last year, as noted by Tim Sink, president of the Chamber, attendees donated more than a ton of food. This year, they broke that mark, according to Steve Painchaud, a professor at Southern New Hampshire University and program volunteer.
