Coming Together to Lend a Hand [VIDEO]

The Common Man hosts fundraiser for Christine Lopez.

It was almost like a traditional Yankee barn raising party on Aug. 23 at , as friends of Christine Lopez came together to raise money to help her and her husband, state Rep. Seth Cohn, R-Canterbury, offset hospital bills and needed expenses after she was involved an accident on July 5.

More than 100 people enjoyed teriyaki steak tips, chicken, greens, and sweet and delightful cakes, bid on silent auction items, and kibitzed in the dining room and lounge, talking politics and their fondness for Lopez, a member of the Common Man family.

Cohn, a former Concord School Board candidate in 2005, who later moved to Canterbury, said he and Lopez were grateful for the outpouring of support the two had received since the accident.
