I have lived in Concord since 1986. (Before that I lived in 15 other states.) I began writing professionally in the early 1980s and have been published in several newspapers and magazines. During the 1990s I had a long running column in the Concord Monitor. My first book, Shadowdad, was published in 1999.

My career in communication involves a variety of media and education jobs. I am currently working as an English professor and serving my second term as a State Representative of Merrimack District 12, Concord wards 5, 6, and 7.

I love to communicate. It's what we humans do best, but seldom do as best we can.
