People, remember -- There are FOUR subway lines that go into the Downtown Crossing / Back Bay area.Read More You don't HAVE to take the Green Line. The ORANGE line goes to Back Bay Station, and it's pretty centrally located. Also, consider watching the Marathon from a less-populated area, such as Framingham / Newton / Needham. The runner will appreciate it, and so will the security folks.

Newton -home of Heartbreak Hill & Boston College is a very popular / exciting locale to cheer onRead More the runners- youll be disappointed if you go to Needham as it is not on the marathon route - Wellesley yes!

Hey, Mew... Go back to Cambridge and spew your liberal garbage. And if you're speaking in referenceRead More to that worthless piece of poop Rodney King, the jury got it right the FIRST time! Of course, when O.J. got off, the whites didn't riot and burn down the neighborhood and demand a new trial!

Otto has to be trolling.... entitled to? Really? War on women? Pathetic... If he is serious,Read More which I doubt, he truly is what is wrong with this country....
Brew April 3, 2014 at 08:25 am
Otto, everything is all your fault. Everything. You should leave the country immediately. Go destroyRead More some other society. Kthxbi.
Brew April 3, 2014 at 08:34 am
Oh yeah and to others... telling a person they are "what is wrong with this country"Read More because they hold a different opinion that you is what is wrong with this country. It shows a level if intolerance equal to racism, the division is just along slightly different lines. Many of you should be ashamed and embarrassed that you can't see that very plain fact. Take a few minutes to think about things instead of being so damned reactionary.

This is a great homeotwn story. Of the 6 members of the U.S. Ski Jumping Team 2 are from Andover andRead More one is from Lebanon. The athletic director of the program is Alan Johnson a graduate of New Englad College and the co-owner of the Pole and Pedal shop in Henniker in the 1970's and early 80's. Both Chris and Nick Farrell started jumping with the Andover Outing Club, with Tim Norris who is responsible for the development of many U.S. Ski team members and Olympians in Ski Jumping, Nordic Combined and Cross Country Skiing. Other Olympinas from the program are Kris and Justin Freeman cross country skiing and Carl VanLoan and Jed Hinkley in Nordic Combined. Tim Norris and the entire Proctor Academy and Andover communities that support the Andover Outing Club have created and continue with an exceptional program. It was my great privilege to have coached a youth program there and to have had the opportunity to meet and work with so many wondeful coaches, parents, Proctor Academy staff and program participants.

@Allan: Thanks for the history. It sounds like a great effort. I can't make the event tonight but ifRead More you do attend, please let us all know how it goes. :-)
