Be wary. Some of these places give to inmates. The reason I took myself off the donors list.

lol...I was wondering same thing, Keith Lucy; why would anyone care who gets their blood, as long asRead More they NEED it. Here's one for you on-the-fencers; a veteran nurse once told me that one pint of blood can service up to FIVE (5) premature babies. That should be enough fodder to push you into a Red Cross blood drive.

The point...Keith and sph...is that this patch crap posts the same stuff regional. RI gets its bloodRead More from the RI Blood Center and when Red Cross swoops in the blood goes anywhere. RI ends up with shortages and the needs here get tight. I don't care who gets the blood and encourage any able bodied person to donate. That was an FYI for anyone from RI reading this post that may think that they are helping in RI when they are not. And yes...when Mass calls for blood from the RI Blood Center and they are able to they send it. Same goes for when people donate after a tragedy thinking they are directly helping. They are not. A lot of the blood ends up going bad because they get too much. If called they will always ask you to donate year round and avoid the urge to 'help' during a tragedy. Just call and ask and they will tell you that...ANY blood center.

Why is this called the NASHUA Patch? It's almost impossible to find any REAL Nashua news. WhenRead More will NashuaPatch get back to serving its purpose?

It's been a wild ride so far in Concord. The power going on and off. I'm hearing that a cold frontRead More is on it's way. That would be nice. I hate the heat & humidity. My son lives in Florida and loves it. I don't know....give the cold any day!

They (Utility Companies) are making good money now. Why cut into their bottom line by spending moneyRead More to bury the lines just so customers have power? That's just foolish.

Good one Richard...thumbs up!

Good one Richard...thumbs up! I guess that does sound foolish to the Utility Companies. With theRead More money we pay for power....give us power!!! That last time we lost power from 5:30pm, until 12:30am...I went food shopping that day and had to toss some food out. Nobody repaid me for that. I hate that every time the friggin wind blows, we loss power!

Once again, no attempt to converse. Throwing insults is all you can muster? Do you know how toRead More think critically and thoughtfully? Oh, and Denmark has one of the highest standards of living in the world. At least you were thoughtful enough to recommend such a highly desirable, highly evolved location for me to reside. :)
