Who in Concord is Ready for the Weekend?

  • According to the National Weather Service, the weekend looks pretty good. On Saturday, expect sunny skies with highs in the low 40s, with a light breeze. In the evening, temps drop down into the teens. The sun continues on Sunday but temps won’t get out of the mid-30s. Overnight, it will be around 15.
  • If you have kids, head over to Gibson’s for storytime fun at 10 a.m.
  • There are two farmers’ markets in the area – one at Cole Gardens at 10 a.m. and another in Tilton at 10 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. All kinds of good food can be had at both locations.
  • There is still snow on the ground which means that you can still take a sleigh ride at Charmingfare Farm beginning at noon on Saturday. Use promo code "snow" and tickets are just $10.
  • If you have a baby, stop by Babies ‘R Us during Happy Mealtime and learn about all kinds of products, free giveaways, and raffle prizes.
  • The Concord Community Music School offers a mandolin festival concert at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday at the school featuring Joe Walsh, Marla Fibish, Eric McDonald, David Surette, and Susie Burke. Tickets are $15; $12 for students and seniors. 
  • The Currier Museum of Art hosts a jazz brunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday with omelets, pancakes, and other great stuff.
  • The New Hampshire Philharmonic offers its spring concert of Beethoven, Brahms, and others at 4 p.m. on Sunday at The Palace in Manchester.
  • Carmen Bradford and the Capital Jazz Orchestra perform a tribute to Ella Fitzgerald at the Capitol Center for the Arts at 4 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets for AARP members are just $5.
