Music, Food, and Fun This Weekend in Concord

  • The National Weather Service is calling for some pretty nice weather this weekend. Expect partly sunny skies with highs in the high 40s on Saturday. Overnight, temps drop down into the 20s. On Sunday, more sun but cooler, with highs in the mid-30s. Overnight lows drop down into the single digits. Expect similar weather on Monday during the day and evening.
  • There are two winter farmers’ markets still underway this weekend. The Cole Gardens market starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday. The Tilton Winter Farmers’ Market runs on Saturday and Sunday, right off I-93.
  • Also at 10 a.m. on Saturday, stop by Gibson’s Bookstore for the weekly storytime event with reading and crafts for your little ones.
  • Anyone up for a tea party? The Penacook Branch Library hosts a tea party from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday. Dress up and bring your favorite doll.
  • The Rev. Randy Thompson of Immanuel Community Church will be leading a study of Henri Nouwen's "Making All Things New: An Invitation to the Spiritual Life,” at 10 a.m. on Saturday and upcoming Saturdays too.
  • Fun Intelligent Training hosts the third annual Juvenile Diabetes Benefit Concert starting at 6 p.m. on Saturday featuring all kinds of bands including the Ghost Dinner Band. Tickets are $25.
  • The Bradford Bog People perform at the Spireside coffeehouse at the Dunbarton Congregational Church at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Open mic signups begin at 7 p.m.
  • The Brookside Congregational Church in Manchester hosts a corned beef and cabbage lunch at noon on Sunday. Tickets are $8 for adults; $5 for children 12 and under.
  • Also on Sunday, Joyce Ray launches her young adult book, “Feathers & Trumpets,” at the Concord Community Music School at 2 p.m.
