Learn About Health, Fitness Products, Services at Expo

Hynes Convention Center offers free activities, screenings this weekend.

The 2014 Health and Fitness Expo will be held this weekend at the Hynes Convention Center on Boylston Street in Boston.

Exhibits at the community health event will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 14, and June 15.

The annual event is free and open to the public and offers all kinds of services and information connected to health and wellness. Some of the offerings include free health screenings, fitness activities, cooking demonstrations, talks by doctors, and educational information about exercising and overall health.

The New England Patriots Cheerleaders will be at the event along with Andy Berler of Berler Maximum Activation Xtreme, offering a demonstration on how people can get into shape. 

Representatives of the Walden Center for Education and Research will also be on hand to discuss eating disorders, while offering advice and research to families and sufferers.

Massage Envy Spa New England is teaming up with the Arthritis Foundation this year, educating attendees about the benefits of massage treatments for arthritis sufferers.

“This is our first year attending the Health and Fitness Expo in Boston," said Richard Silva, a regional developer with the company, "and we are eager to let others know how important it is to manage stress and pain.”

The nearly 50 locations in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, the company believes that it's a great opportunity to reach out to sufferers in a helpful way. 

"By inviting us to join them at this year’s Health and Fitness Expo in Boston, Massage Envy Spa and the Arthritis Foundation will be able to work together to help those suffering from the number one cause of disability in our nation, arthritis,” said senior director of development Robin Maxcy.
