Heights Community Old Home Days Held Saturday

Saturday June 28, 2014 at Concord’s Keach Park, the Second Annual Heights Community Old Home Days will take place from noon until 8 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public. 

Executive Councilor Colin Van Ostern will kick off the opening ceremonies with the parade starting at the Newton Avenue entrance to the park at noon and then appearances by political candidates.

The Concord Patch’s Tony Schinella will host the afternoon’s Little Miss Heights Contest and talent show. And there will be a dessert bake-off and a home run derby.

WMUR-TV’s Adam Sexton will be there at 3 p.m. to present the 2014 Heights Community Cane to the oldest resident as well as other awards.

The park will host neighborhood vendors, a kids alley with activities, and lots of food vendors. Don’t forget to bring your own lawn chair. 

Local Concord 11-piece band “Jasmine” will entertain from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
