8 Things to Know About This Weekend in Concord

All kinds of things going on in Concord this weekend.

  1. Weather. First, the weekend is looking good: Expect sunny skies on Friday with highs in the mid-70s although temps will drop down into the mid-40s overnight. On Saturday, sunny skies again, with highs in the mid-70s, and lows in the 50s. Expect similar weather on Sunday (and yes, Monday too).
  2. Free supper. The Grace Episcopal Church hosts its community support at 5 p.m. on Friday with meatloaf and mashed potatoes. 
  3. Downtown. A Midsummer Night Magic will be held in Downtown Concord on Friday with all kinds of things going on. And don’t forget the parking restrictions on Main Street.
  4. Walk in their shoes. The annual fundraiser for the Concord Coalition to End Homelessness and other agencies will be held on Saturday, beginning at 9:30 a.m. 
  5. Storytime. Gibson’s Bookstore hosts storytime with crafts and other fun for the little ones at 10 a.m. at Saturday.
  6. Music. There’s all kinds of music this weekend including the two-day Granite State Music Festival featuring Lucius headlining on Sunday night.
  7. Like classical? The NH Music Festival kicks off at 11 a.m. on Saturday in Plymouth. 
  8. Open mic and more. The Spireside Coffee House in Dunbarton also hosts an open mic and a performance by Carl Beverly at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
