Prior elected office: Not prior - current. I proudly serve as the City Council representative for Ward 2 and will do so until the very last minute on New Year’s Eve, 2013. Ward 2 has some great people!

Personal: I live in West Concord with my husband Bill and our sons Michael and Jack.  As a family, we are super active in the community and always have been. Together, we support local scouting and continue to volunteer for the acting programs at Beaver Meadow, Rundlett Middle School,  and the Friends of Performing Arts at Concord High….GO BAND! GO TIDE!

What else?
1. I am on the Board of Directors for Concord 250 – gearing up to celebrate Concord’s 250th anniversary in 2015
2. I am a member of the Penacook Village Association
3. I lead the downtown tours for Leadership Concord (shout out to Leader Alum, Tony Schinella) and Capital Area Student Leadership on behalf of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce. I don’t necessarily volunteer for CYPN, Concord Young Professional Network, but I certainly stay involved.
4. I led six Super Duck Tours for the WOW! Weekend on Water event on behalf of Concord Rotary. (Best $5.00 tour EVER)
5. I volunteer and support Concord Historical Society
6. A member of the Beaver Meadow Women’s Golf Association
7. I serve as the scorekeeper for the Ladies Twilight League
8. Four time Women’s Club Champion at the Beav
9. I hold a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do
10. For my Council duties I serve on the following Boards and Committees:
  - Community Development Advisory Committee
  - Facilities Naming Committee
  - Golf Course Advisory Committee
  - Gully Hill Easement Committee (this is an ad hoc committee)
  - Municipal Housing Committee
  - Parking Committee
  - Public Safety Board
  - Transportation Policy Advisory Committee
  - Chair of the Public Transit Subcommittee

Obviously, I don’t sit idle… and Yes, I do sleep.

Priorities: Attracting new companies to Concord that offer long-term earning potential, high paying jobs for our residents and expanding the tax base through commercial growth.

It is the reason we are investing in downtown and Penacook Village. Both offer tremendous opportunities for filling existing commercial space that sits vacant today. Not just in our City/Village Centers – but across Concord.
Positioning Concord to compete with Manchester and Nashua to attract high tech companies to our industrial parks throughout the city, as well as retain a younger workforce needs to be a priority to keep Concord thriving for decades to come. An expanded tax base and strong work force make for a great community. I want to be at the forefront of returning Concord to the economic powerhouse status it once held.

Why are you running?

CONCORD RESIDENTS ARE WORTH IT!

Serving on the Council has been an incredible experience. I have thoroughly enjoyed representing the residents of Ward 2. Constituent work is incredible and it’s the part of a Councilor’s role that is rarely touched upon in the media.

If voters really want to know what qualities a great Councilor needs –the ability to connect with people, communicate, build consensus, listen and convey the collective voice of the Ward and above all…work on behalf of our constituents.
