Hassan Declares Nov. 30 'Small Business Saturday'

Governor encourages residents to shop small.

Continuing her efforts to support New Hampshire’s job-creating small businesses, Gov. Maggie Hassan has proclaimed Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, as “Small Business Saturday” in New Hampshire and is encouraging New Hampshire residents to shop at local stores this holiday season.

New Hampshire’s small businesses drive our economy forward, creating good jobs and strengthening our communities,” Hassan said. “By recognizing Small Business Saturday, we can help support those local businesses who contribute so much to our economy and communities. As we enter the holiday shopping season, I encourage New Hampshire residents to support our economy by shopping at local stores and businesses throughout our state.”

Small Business Saturday is a nationwide initiative of the United States Small Business Administration to celebrate and support small businesses by encouraging people to shop at local small businesses. For more information, visit sba.gov/about-sba/sba_initiatives/small_business_saturday_2013.
