Concord Schools Fail to Rank on Best High Schools List

However, Bow, Hopkinton schools are named tops in the New Hampshire, the U.S.

US News & World Report Magazine released its annual list of the nation’s top high schools but both of the schools serving students in Concord failed to make the national or state list.

According to the report, in order to be ranked, the magazine teamed up with American Institutes for Research to evaluate schools in three areas: overall student performance on state-mandated assessments, the effectiveness by which the schools educated minorities and those who were economically disadvantaged, and performance in advanced placement and International Baccalaureate exams. The schools then earned gold, silver, and bronze medals based on the outcome of the analysis.

Unfortunately, both Concord High School and Merrimack Valley High School, failed to be ranked and did not achieve medal status.
