Ron Paul Snags North Country Newspaper Endorsements

Papers call for "powerful" alternative to Romney, Obama.

Three North Country newspapers – The Littleton Courier, Berlin Reporter, and Coos County Democrat – have all endorsed for President, according to a campaign press release Jan. 4.

In the endorsements, the papers noted that Paul had never voted to raise taxes or to bailout Wall Street banks. They also noted that Paul’s “prediction that the United States can no longer afford the economic cost of our overseas commitments makes many Republicans uncomfortable, possibly by the very truth of the assertion.”

The papers also noted that voters seem “desperate for an alternative” other than front-runner, former Massachusetts Gov. . The endorsements stated that the voting public had lost faith in President but were also not sold on Romney replacing him.
