Katie Bentley Lilac Project Donates Book

State Librarian Michael York receives a copy of “Lilacs: A Gardener’s Encyclopedia,” from John Bentley, president of the Katie Bentley Lilac Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and planting lilacs. Lilacs were named New Hampshire’s state flower in 1919 and have been in the state since at least 1750; the book will be added to the State Library’s collection.
