Council Restores Planned Parenthood Funding

Health centers in New Hampshire to receive $737,588 retroactively.

The Executive Council voted to restore money to Planned Parenthood of Northern New England in a vote on Jan. 29.

The council voted 4-0 to restore $737,588 in funding as part of a state match of federal funds that the US DHHS granted to Planned Parenthood in 2011.

Previously, in 2012, the council rejected the funds by a 3-2 vote. All three of the councilors who voted against the funds transfer, including Concord City Councilor Dan St. Hilaire, are no longer on the council.
