Officials pleased that she is safe; still investigating "facts and circumstances" about her disappearance.

The New Hampshire Department of Justice has informed media outlets that missing Conway, NH, teen Abigail Hernandez was “safely reunited with her family yesterday evening,” according to a press statement.

Details about the missing teen are being investigated by the NH DOJ, New Hampshire State Police, and the FBI. The teen had been missing since Oct. 9, 2013. A couple of months later, she wrote to her mother to let her know that she was alive.

“Further details will be provided once it has been determined that releasing additional information will not compromise the integrity of the on-going criminal investigation,” according to Jane E. Young, the associate attorney general for the state of New Hampshire. “Law enforcement thanks the public for its cooperation and assistance in the investigation over the past months and continues to welcome the public’s assistance as the investigation continues.”
