Two Men Mug Woman on Storrs Street

NH State Police, Concord Police request assistance from the public in solving the case.

Law enforcement officials are requesting assistance in solving a robbery case that occurred in the early evening of Oct. 3.

According to a press statement, around 8:20 p.m., the Concord Police and state troopers were called to the Legislative Parking Garage for a report of a “strong arm robbery.”

A woman had left a business on Main Street, walked to the garage, and entered her car which was parked in the garage when two men allegedly violently opened the door to her car, pushed her against the seat, struck her several times, and then stole her purse, according to the report.

“The female reported several scrapes and bruises however declined medical treatment,” State Trooper William Graham noted.

The men fled the area and the woman, later attempted to pursue them, running down the garage stairs, according to police who spoke with her about 10 minutes after the incident. The two men then split up with one heading in the area of the Bank of America and another heading in the area of the tracks near Stickney Avenue. The woman went to Tandy’s Top Shelf and called police.

The men were described as possibly white with one wearing a black jacket and a black hood, and the other wearing a gray sweatshirt and shorts.

While Concord Police interviewed witnesses and people in the area right after the mugging, a detective trooper processed the woman’s car for evidence and a K9 unit was brought in to search the area. State capitol security officers also assisted, according to the statement.

The K9 unit though was unable to locate the suspects, according to police, and they remain at-large.

Graham said that during non-daytime hours, the garage is open to the general public, and employees and downtown shoppers often use the garage during the evening.

Anyone with information about what happened is urged to call Detective Timothy Beers at 603-271-3636.
