Teen in Trouble Again

Concord Police allege that Jasmine Curtis was illegally drinking again.

A local teen is in trouble again after an incident on Rumford Street last month.

Jasmine Y. Curtis, 17, of Concord, was arrested at 10:15 p.m. on Oct. 7, on an unlawful possession of alcohol charge.

According to a Concord Police arrest report, at around 7 p.m. on the night in question, an officer was called to an apartment on Rumford Street to assist the Concord Fire Department with a woman who was unconscious.

At the apartment, officers spoke with Curtis’ father who stated that he came to the apartment to pick her up and was allegedly was told by a heavy set man at the apartment that she was there previously but had left.

The father tried calling her but she didn’t answer her phone so the father returned to the apartment and knocked on the door. When the door was opened a crack, the father pushed the door open and immediately saw his daughter passed out on a mattress on the floor.

The father tried to wake her up but she was unresponsive and he called 911.

During a search of the apartment, an officer found a man in a bathroom with a curling iron and spoke to him. The man stated that Curtis arrived at the apartment after school and was “acting nervous and anxious.” The man went out for a walk and when he returned, Curtis seemed more relaxed.

Later, she sat down on the mattress and passed out. He denied that anyone was drinking.

At the hospital, the officer spoke with nurses as well as Curtis and alleged that she was “heavily intoxicated.”

The officer returned to the apartment and spoke with the man and asked him to be honest about the situation. The man then alleged that Curtis and a few friends were drinking Zhenka Pink Lemonade Vodka earlier in the evening.

The officer returned to the hospital and issued Curtis with the charge. She had a court date earlier this week.

Curtis, according to reports, was arrested in June after an incident at Concord High School. She was also arrested for allegedly assaulting her father in September at the Concord Coach bus terminal
